I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of experience working with primarily adolescents and young adults.
I began my career in intensive care units, then found work at Loyola University Chicago. I was drawn to the struggles students face when living away from home for the first time, and discovered my love of working with teens and young adults. After 10 years I relocated to Portland and began providing primary care for teens in a high school setting.
I am passionate about helping teens and their families navigate the challenges that come with adolescence. Having the opportunity to work with young people as they navigate their own values and decide who they are is pretty awesome work, and I love what I do. It's an exciting, scary and stressful time for teens and parents alike, and I'm honored to help you tackle the issues.
When I am not working I am a monthly contributor to Portland Moms Blog and I am a mom to three great kids, ages 14, 12 and 10. I know first hand that this work is not easy. To decompress from it all, I enjoy reading, learning piano and volunteering with foster kids. Oh, and ice cream.
